Karen Morales
Founder + Brand Champion

Karen Morales broke out of the traditional ad agency world on a quest to blaze her own path, and blaze she has. After spending 20 years and more than $250M dollars in marketing funds growing global brands like Delta Air Lines, American Express, Fidelity Investments, and Panasonic, Karen founded Marketing Magnet in 2016, and never looked back.

Conceived as an un-agency collective of creative pros united by a common interest in helping change-agents conquer audacious goals, Marketing Magnet  is already making waves. Driven by Karen’s deep-seated conviction that a more nimble approach to world-class marketing isn’t just possible, it’s ultimately more impactful, Marketing Magnet is making meaningful work that delivers impressive results. Karen and her team have helped beat holiday season sales for a leading consumer packaged goods brand, lifted brand loyalty for a prestige health plan services provider, and created narratives that have raised millions in venture funding.

An in-demand keynote speaker and passionate advocate for social change, Karen serves on the board of Cure Rare Disease, and can often be found mentoring fellow female founders. From inception, Marketing Magnet has reflected her commitment to giving back, and has donated at least 1% of all profits and 5% of its time to nonprofit causes and community-building organizations.

Chris Hunter
Integrated Creative + Strategy Lead

Chris Hunter is our chief creative strategist, which makes him the chief of getting straight to the heart of the challenges our clients bring to us and connecting to deep consumer insights. If making beautiful work that is both smart and provocative qualifies as a marketing superpower, he’s got it. 

He brings with him more than a decade of experience from stints with Y&R and DDB, during which time he built an impressive portfolio of award-winning work on such brands as Sears, Discover Card, Famous Footwear, Kenmore and Einstein Bros. Bagels. He pioneered branded content for Sears, developing a string of entertainment partnerships featuring celebrities Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Kylie Jenner. At Trisect, Hunter led creative efforts on the agency’s cornerstone Kimberly-Clark account, including national advertising for the Cottonelle, Scott and Viva brands.
